Re: Darkness V Light
Light rules, because, in the end, Light always wins. No matter what.

Re: Darkness V Light
lol, yeah but if you look at myth, all bad things lived in the dark, and all good things lived in the light. The evil would attack at night because they were strongest at night

Re: Darkness V Light
yeah but like a lot of things mythology is twisted and generally used as propoganda
there are some legends and myths about the good things in the night, some are ancient egyptian myths i think, and they got twisted by the greeks, romans and other "civilisations" later on to become the ones we relate to at the present

Re: Darkness V Light
Well it just makes sense though to have evil in the night. Look at it, night is dark, you are unsure about what is out there and night is cold. Whereas light is warm, bright, happy, and relaxing.

Re: Darkness V Light
for most people maybe
but seriously a lot of the earliest legends we have, before christianity and a few other religions put heir spin on it CELEBRATED the night.
Isis, egyptian goddess of the moon, Osiris (her brother and husband, don't ask) god of the dead... both of them kept people safe from the only thing out to get them on a night, Seth the god of chaos and wastelands. most of the celebrations where performed at night
the same holds true for a lot of pagan rituals and celebrations. it's christian and secular thinking, contributed by the romans and greeks, that has people afraid of the dark and things it may or may not contain

Re: Darkness V Light
yeah i know, brother and husband is a bit sick lol.
See may or may not contain, they were unsure about the night so that made is scary. and anyone who had a disliking for them would use that agaisnt them. And ok. maybe the night was good at one point, but we are talking present time, night is the worst thing to be caught alone in.

Re: Darkness V Light
again it depends on your outlook and what you believe
if your beliefs are influenced directly by the younger religions then yeah you're gonna be scared of the night and what you think it may contain
if on the otherhand you're influenced by paganism, satanism, the tao and a few of the other older religions there's no fear in anything or any time of day apart from the things that you have found a reason to fear, like the only things i fear are getting stung by wasps, getting hurt emotionally and losing my fiancee. all of which are more likely in the daytime. and no the lsat two fears aren't the same... there is a very big difference between them

Re: Darkness V Light
people use the darkness to commit crimes and to scare. ok, yes, this is a reason to fear, not just fear itself but still is a contributing fact to darkness being worse than light. whereas losing a gf or fiance is terrible in the light, losing your life over a wallet in the dark is worse to some people. And you can get stung at night time lol.
