Barrie wouldnt like being green lol! I think its a load of rubbish, ave the rainforests!
Re: Global Warming and Being Green
i dont like the idea of the planet warming up and i think that there are better ways of creating energy without heating up the planet in the process, we just have to find them and it would be good if we had a competant government to do the job as well.

Lol, I agree. But I'm not crazy on the whole 'green' thing. I do think that everyone should do their bit, like recycling.
Re: Global Warming and Being Green
recycling is a good idea but there are only certain materials that can be recycled right now, if the government tried harder and put more funding into recycling, im sure that there would be a better range of materials that could be recycled into more useful stuff

I agree. there are places that can recycle paper and stuff, they have collections for that... But not here, yet...

Yeah, but are they actually collected by the council from your house? Like cans and things are?
Re: Global Warming and Being Green
Um yeah plastic, paper and cans are in the blue bin. as for the clothes there are points near tesco and the market
Re: Global Warming and Being Green
ah ok then. Hm.... does anyone know anyone who's like completely green?
Re: Global Warming and Being Green
to be honest, i think people are over reacting a little bit, ok we have speeded up the warming of the planet by a lot, but the planet was rising in temperature anyway, look how much warmer it is since the last ice age, we have just speeded up a natural phenomenon, and there will be another ice age but not in our time
but i do think that everyone in the world should try to make the process slower, so that it doesnt happen sooner rather than later

Hm.. I think I agree.... but I'm not sure. It's slightly confusing, and I'm tired...

Polluting the atmosphere with extra greenhouse gases results in rising temperature, as the heat is not exiting the atmosphere. Nothing "natural" about that.
