No, you dont. I have good luck....and bad luck. Tends to alternate.

The flicky ones dont need luck, just timing I think...

the flicky ones dont really need much timing either, you just drop them in and watch them drop lol

You do need to time them. You have to find out which 'paddle' they go towards most often, and time it so that the paddle is back.
